This original picture shows the Wagon Bridge collapse of July 1941, with the milk truck and the steel framework in the Maumee River at Waterville, Ohio. Two men were in the milk truck when it dropped with the span, and they survived. The bridge was originally built in 1888, but had been condemned for vehicular traffic for some years at the time of the collapse.
