Adding Machine - Machine, Adding
A hand-operated adding machine, with a 7 x 9 array of numbers keys plus 5 fuction keys on the right side, with the operating handle on the far right side of the machine. A printing tape roller and paper roll are at the top center. Red & white letters on front of base read " R.C. Allen-Business Machines". Silver letters on the front top read " R.C. Allen ( 95?)". Blickensderfer Model 8 Typewriter - Typewriter
This antique typewriter, with a metal letter cylinder on a wooden base, is a Blickensderfer Model 8 typewriter, made in Stanford, Connecticut. Introduced in 1908, this model was a consdierable success. About 20,000 of the Model 8 units were sold, through 2017, accounting for about 10% of all Blickensderfer model typewriters sold. Butter Churn - Churn, butter
A rounded-bottom rectangular wooden tub with iron straps at each end with a handle on top. It has 3 wooden legs and a wooden lid with cross supports and a single knob handle in center. One end reads: "Union Churn - 1st premium awarded at the Ohio, Ind., Mich, Wis., Illinois and New York State Fairs in 1865, 1866 and 1868" Mfg. by Union Mfg. Co., Toledo, Ohio". The assembly is incomplete: handle and paddle are missing.

A wooden camera with leather bellows, detachable lens, frosted glass back, brass adjusting screws, rubber bulb (no cable), marked as Rochester View - Rochester Optical View and Camera. This camera belonged to John Findlay Torrence Isham, a local amateur photographer, and was used to take pictures with glass-plate negatives.

A pen and ink line drawing of the Waterville Interurban Bridge and Roche de Boeuf, black on white, signed by the artist, George L. Wagner, and numbered 299 of 300. The drawing is mounted in a narrow black frame and matted with a 2" wide black matte. This perspective is looking south southeast from the bank of the Lucas County side of the Maumee River, near Waterville, Ohio.

A large, very heavy, machine consisting of an upright cast iron frame with a long crank arm and handle attached to a gear mechanism which causes an internal shaft to rotate. Attachments include a large aluminum bowl (13.75" diameter by 7" deep), an inverted funnel shape piece, housing a spinner, and under that a piece with two long spouts.

Cultivator, walking - Cultivator, walking
A hand-guided, walk-behind horse-drawn cultivator. The wrought iron "J" shaped metal portion has a long forward portion with loop, to attach a horse harness, and diverges into three down-curving branches with a 4" cultivator blade on each branch. Wood handles, curved at the upper end, are attached to the metal work, at the bottom, with bolts. This device was made by Charles Graf, at his blacksmith shop, for John M. Brown.

Farm Wagon Model - Model, patent
Farm wagon model built by Albert Graf in 1895, a blacksmith, as a model for a patented axle steering mechanism. The back wheels measure 20" and the front wheels measure 16". The box is painted green, the wheels orange and yellow, with black accents. The restoration of this wagon to original specification and colors was done by Andrew M. Harvey III (see notebook 2001.017.1)
