A rounded-bottom rectangular wooden tub with iron straps at each end with a handle on top. It has 3 wooden legs and a wooden lid with cross supports and a single knob handle in center. One end reads: "Union Churn - 1st premium awarded at the Ohio, Ind., Mich, Wis., Illinois and New York State Fairs in 1865, 1866 and 1868" Mfg. by Union Mfg. Co., Toledo, Ohio". The assembly is incomplete: handle and paddle are missing. |
