This is a 2-piece brass surveyor's transit with accurate compass telescope spirit levels, and thumbscrew adjustments. It mounts on a tripod for accurate survey work by means of a separate brass mounting base with additional thumbscrews for fine adjustments. Also included is a plumb-bob for pinpoint location of the transit over a point. All of the parts fit in a wooden carry-case, record # 1995.033.002. |
