  3. Farnsworth Orchard "Filling Station" - Print, Photographic

Circa 1920's at the Farnsworth Fruit Farm in Waterville, Ohio. The "filling station", was located in a central location in the orchards, on the south side of Waterville-Neapolis Rd. Since there was no city water, or electric power, available, well water was pumped up by a gasoline engine pump, into storage tanks. Tank trucks, hauling water to the sprayer in the orchard, or the tractor drawn sprayer could be filled at this location.
