Description |
Black and white photocopy print of a hand-made bus body on a Model T Ford chassis, in front of the Graf Garage on Farnsworth Road, in Waterville, Ohio. This was one of Waterville's first motorized school busses. The passenger compartment was all wood, and was built onto the chassis locally: note the wooden house-type door used for an entrance! For years, the busses were owned and operated by the Graf Bros., and housed in their garage, with the Waterville School Board being billed periodically for the expenses. Before the school consolidation, the "fleet" consisted of an average of three busses. This photo was probably taken in the early 1920's. |
